If one restaurant has received the highest accolades in the gastronomic guides a good few years before the star-shower the city was blessed with in 2012, it was Fischers Fritz. The Regent's restaurant was the only 2* restaurant and the sole dining room to be crowned with 19/20p by the Gault Millau.
